Welcome

'Wombargo' is a 630 hectare (nearly 1700 acres) beef cattle property and farmstay located in the heart of the spectacular Snowy Mountains/River region of East Gippsland. A comfortable, cosy and fully self contained cabin is available for B&B or self cater. The Wombargo cabin and paddocks are also used as a base for BYO Horse Mountain Trail Rides. Arriving via Bairnsdale, with the exception of one short section, the road is sealed to the front gate. Having just the one cabin means peace, quiet and privacy.

Snowy River Road, which becomes the Barry Way in NSW, is a scenic and historic alternative to the Great Alpine Way, and also provides easy access to both McKillop's Bridge and Limestone/Black Mountain Roads, all of which are suitable for 2WD cars. Easy to moderate 4WD tracks crisscross back and forth throughout this breathtakingly scenic area.
